Menu & Page Names
π Find this in the app: Admin Panel β Configuration β Menu & page names (
/admin/configuration)
Give the pages on your public website your own names. For example, call Horses For Sale "Sporthorses", or Training "Coaching".
Turning it onβ
Under Admin β Configuration β Enabled Features, switch on Custom page names and save. The Menu & page names section then appears on the same page.
Renaming a pageβ
- Every public page you have switched on gets its own field. The grey placeholder shows the standard name.
- Type the new name, up to 24 characters. The counter under the field shows how many you have used.
- Click Save names.
To go back to the standard name, click Reset next to the field, or empty it, and save.
The Horses menu field only appears when you show two or more horse pages (for example Sale and Lease). That's when your menu has a "Horses" dropdown.
What changesβ
- The page name in your menu (desktop and mobile) and in the footer.
- The page title in the browser tab and in Google results. Your name replaces the page name and the search keywords stay, for example "Sporthorses - Horses for Sale | Your Stable".
- The breadcrumb trail on detail pages.
What stays the sameβ
- Web addresses never change.
/horsesstays/horses, and every horse keeps its link. Your Google rankings and the links people have shared keep working. - Your page content. Use the Page Editor for that.
Good to knowβ
- Changes can take up to 2 minutes to appear on your website.
- Long names are fine. If they don't all fit next to your logo on a laptop screen, the menu switches to the compact β° menu. Shorter names keep the full menu visible on more screens.
- Dutch and French stables see the standard names in their own language automatically, for example "Paarden te koop" or "Chevaux Γ vendre", even without renaming anything.
- If you switch a page off, its custom name is kept and comes back when you switch the page on again.
