Suggesting a Feature

Have an idea for something the system should do that it doesn't today? Tell the Support Chatbot. The separate "Request a Feature" button and form no longer exist — the chatbot is now the single place to ask questions, report problems, and share ideas.

How to suggest a feature​

  1. Open the chat and describe your idea in your own words — what you'd like to be able to do, and why it would help your stable. For example: "I'd like to export lesson attendance to a spreadsheet so I can send it to my accountant."
  2. The assistant first checks whether this already exists. If it does, it tells you where to find it.
  3. If it doesn't exist yet, the assistant sums up your idea and asks whether you'd like it passed on to the Equidentity team. Say yes, and it's sent straight to the product team. The assistant confirms once it's done.

Your name and contact details aren't attached to the idea — it's about the product, not about you. Would you like someone to get back to you about it personally? Ask the assistant to have someone contact you; it will ask for your name and an email address or phone number.

tip

The more concrete the better: say what you'd like to do, and why. "Export lesson attendance so I can send it to my accountant" helps the team more than "better exports".

Something broken rather than missing?​

If a feature exists but isn't working the way it should, that's a bug rather than a feature idea. Use Report a Bug in the chat window, or simply describe the problem to the assistant — see Reporting a bug.

A few things to know​

  • Admin-only: The chatbot, and therefore suggesting features, is available to admins; it isn't available to staff or members.
  • The chatbot must be switched on: An admin needs to turn on the Support Chatbot toggle on the Configuration page first.
  • Not a PRO feature: Every stable can suggest features, PRO subscription or not.
  • Up to 10 ideas a month: Each stable can pass on up to 10 ideas per month through the assistant. This is separate from the limit on bug reports.
