Requesting a Feature
π Find this in the app: A "Request a Feature" button fixed in the bottom-left corner of every Admin Panel screen.
Have an idea for something the system should do that it doesn't today? You can submit it directly from the admin panel instead of sending an email β it goes straight into the same tracker used to plan and build new work.
1. Submitting a Request (Create)β
Click Request a Feature from anywhere in the admin panel. A short form opens asking for:
- Title: A short name for what you want (e.g., "Export lesson attendance to a spreadsheet").
- Given / When / Then: Three short sentences describing the situation before the feature exists, the action you'd take, and what should happen as a result. This isn't a technical requirement β just describe it in your own words, in three parts, so the idea is unambiguous.
- Description: Any extra context, optional.
Click Submit, and a small spinner shows while it's sent. Once it's through, you'll see a confirmation with a link you can use to track its status.
2. Viewing Your Requests (Read)β
Every request you've submitted keeps its own status β open, in progress, or closed β which updates automatically as the request is worked on, mirroring the tracker it was filed into.
3. Changing a Request (Update)β
Requests can't be edited once submitted. If you need to add more detail or correct something, submit a new request referencing the original, or reach out to your Equidentity contact.
4. Removing a Request (Delete)β
There's no delete option for a submitted request β it's kept as a permanent record of the idea and its outcome, even after it's been built or declined.
A few things to knowβ
- Admin-only: Only admins see this button; it isn't available to staff or members.
- A fair-use limit: There's a cap on how many requests one stable can submit per month, to keep the tracker useful and prevent spam.
- Not a PRO feature: Every stable can suggest features, PRO subscription or not β turn it on from the Configuration page.
