Page Editor Overview

The Page Editor allows you to visually construct and customize the public-facing pages of your website without any coding. You can build pages by stacking different Blocks (such as Hero Banners, Text Sections, and Galleries) and configuring their settings.

Interface Overview​

When you navigate to Content > Page Editor, you will see:

  • Page Navigation: At the top of the editor, you can switch between different website pages (e.g., Home, Horses, Blog, Faq, Training, Stables, Members).
  • Preview Button: Opens a preview of how your changes will look on the live website.
  • Save Changes Button: Saves your current configuration.
CDN Caching

Design changes can take up to 15 minutes to appear to all visitors on the live website due to CDN (Content Delivery Network) caching.

Page Settings​

Each page has global settings that affect its overall appearance:

  • Transparent header (hero bleeds under nav): When enabled, the page header becomes transparent, and the first block (usually a Hero Banner) will extend upwards behind the navigation bar. This creates a modern, immersive look.
  • Nav link colour: Allows you to pick a custom color for the navigation links. This is especially useful when using a transparent header, as you may need white text to contrast against a dark hero image.

Managing Blocks​

Pages are built using a stack of Blocks. You can manage these blocks using the tools provided on each block's row:

  • Drag and Drop (6 dots icon): Click and hold the icon on the far left to drag and reorder the blocks.
  • Visibility (Eye icon): Toggle whether a block is visible or hidden on the live site. Hidden blocks are marked with a "Hidden" badge.
  • Duplicate (Copy icon): Create an exact copy of the block and its current settings.
  • Edit (Pencil icon): Expand the block to configure its content (text, images) and layout settings.
  • Delete (Trash icon): Remove the block from the page entirely.

Editing a Block​

When you click the Edit (pencil icon), the block expands to reveal its configuration options. These options vary depending on the block type, but generally include:

  • Content Fields: Inputs for text, headings, and rich text editors for paragraph content.
  • Media Uploads: Image or video upload fields, often integrated directly with secure storage.
  • Settings & Layout Styles: Dropdowns to change the visual layout (e.g., parallax effects, text alignment, background colors, and panel positions).
  • Calls to Action (CTAs): Checkboxes and input fields to add buttons and configure their link destinations.
