Website: your pages and their names

📍 Find this in the app: Admin Panel → Website (/admin/website)

The Website menu item (previously Content) opens one list of every page on your public website. It is the starting point for everything you change on the site.

The page list

Pages are grouped so they are easy to find:

GroupPages
SiteHome, Members area
HorsesHorses for sale, Lease horses, Stallions
Info & contentTraining, Stables, Blog, FAQ

Only pages your stable actually uses are listed. A page that is switched off doesn't appear.

Each row shows the page's name and its web address, with these actions:

  • Edit content: opens the page in the Page Editor, where you change its text, photos and blocks. Clicking the page name does the same.
  • Manage…: for pages fed by a list, jumps straight to that list. For example, Manage horses opens the Horses page on the For sale tab, and Manage posts opens your blog posts.
  • View live (the arrow icon): opens the page on your public website in a new tab.

Colors & fonts at the top right takes you to your website's theme.

The list on Horses for sale and Stallions

The Horses for sale and Stallions pages show your horses automatically, with filters. In the Page Editor, that list is a block of its own, called Horses for sale list or Stallions list and marked Always shown.

  • Move it up or down like any other block. Blocks above it appear above your horses on the website, blocks below it appear underneath. For example, put an introduction above your horses and a contact form or FAQ below them.
  • Pick a card style: open the block and choose a Card style:
    • Detailed (price & key facts): The standard card, with the price (or stud fee for stallions) and the key facts. This is the default.
    • Colour band (photo + name bar): A tall photo with a bar in your main website colour underneath, showing the name in capitals and the pedigree. No price.
    • Magazine, Minimal, Rounded or Polaroid: The same styles as in the Horses Grid.
  • It always stays on the page. You can't remove, hide or duplicate it, and it isn't offered under Add Block.

Good to know:

  • If you never move it, the list stays below all your other blocks, just as before.
  • Blocks below the list move further down when visitors press Load more.

Renaming pages in the menu

You can give your public pages your own names. For example, call "Horses for sale" Sporthorses, or "Training" Coaching.

  1. Make sure the Custom page names feature is switched on under Admin → Configuration. When it is, a Rename link appears next to each page on the Website list.
  2. Click Rename, or go to Admin → Configuration → Menu & page names.
  3. Type the new name next to each page you want to change. Leave a field empty to keep the standard name.
  4. Click Save names. Reset clears a field back to the standard name.

Good to know:

  • Only the name changes. Web addresses stay exactly the same, so links you've shared and your Google rankings are not affected.
  • The new name is used in your website menu and footer, in the page's title in the browser tab and in Google, and in the breadcrumb trail.
  • Names can be up to 24 characters.
  • Home and the Members area can't be renamed.
  • Changes can take up to 2 minutes to appear on your website.
  • Long names automatically make your menu switch to the compact (☰) menu sooner, so it never overflows.
